Anthony Joshua V Joseph Parker Press Conference Round-up
The respective teams of WBO champ, Joseph Parker (24-0-0, 18KOs) and unified WBA, IBF king Anthony Joshua (20-0-0, 20KOs) came together at the opening press conference for their March 31st fight.
David Higgins, Parker’s manager, brought up their borderline farcical ‘press conference’ which was held showing an amateurish video of Joshua’s ‘glass chin’. The video showed: Joshua being stopped as an amateur in the European Championships, various people claiming to have dropped him in sparring and of course Klitschko knocking him down in their fight.
Joshua responded to this by giving context to those events. Saying that in the European Championships he was called up two weeks prior and was therefore very unfit. Moreover, he went on to say David Price dropped him in sparring the same day he came out of a police cell.

Hearn Lists Potential Khan Opponents
In an interview with iFL TV Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport says he sent a list of 15 potential opponents to Amir Khan’s (31-4-0) trainer, Virgil Hunter for his comeback fight on April 21st in Liverpool.
Those names include: Antonio DeMarco, Sammy Vasquez, Josesito Lopez, Phil Lo Greco and Brad Solomon. Hopefully we’ll see an announcement on that soon.

Dillian Whyte V Lucas Browne Press Conference Round-up
Dillian Whyte’s (22-1-0) search for a big fight has culminated with a clash with former WBA ‘regular’ title holder Lucas Browne (25-0-0). The press conference was rather timid in comparison to Whyte’s fight with Dereck Chisora, with no tables being thrown (this time).
Whyte brought up Browne’s well documented failing of drugs tests which aggravated Browne to respond by saying Whyte also failed a drugs test, which is true, both fighters claim to have ingested the substances through pre-workout. Whyte received a two year ban for his offence as it is his responsibility to check what he is putting in to his body.
A second point from the press conference was Lucas Browne’s tweet to Dillian Whyte of an orangutan. Which Dillian firmly believes was a racist comment and as such brought it up. To which Browne insisted it was in reference to the length of Whyte’s arms not his race. Regardless of context, the tweet was wrong and extremely ignorant.
Nonetheless, I really look forward to this March 24th fight and hopefully it lives up to the animosity between these two big-punching, big-talking heavyweights.

Best of the Rest
WBO Middleweight World Champion Billy Joe Sauders (26-0-0) will defend his title against rugged, four-time world title challenger, Martin Murray (36-4-1) on April 14th. On the same bill, Terry Flanagan (33-0-0) will hope to become a two-weight world champion by defeating American Maurice Hooker (23-0-3) for the WBO Super Lightweight crown.
Mikey Garcia’s (37-0-0) challenge to become a four-weight world champion will have to wait until March 10th as IBF Super Lightweight Champion Sergey Lipinets (13-0-0) sustained a hand injury in training for their original February 10th date.
